In the meantime…Here’s a simple recipe for an Old Fashioned:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
  • 1 tsp simple syrup or 1 sugar cube
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Orange peel for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. In a rocks glass, muddle the sugar cube (or simple syrup) with the bitters and a splash of water until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add a large ice cube to the glass and pour in the whiskey.
  3. Stir until the drink is well-chilled.
  4. Garnish with a strip of orange peel, expressed over the top of the drink to release its oils.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
